      Hollow Shaft Deflection       Calculation

Enter the shaft diameter, the shaft wall thickness (the shaft I.D. will be calculated by the program), the shaft length (distance from the end of the shaft to the load-bearing surface), and the load applied to the end of the shaft. The program will calculate the deflection (at the shaft tip) due to the weight of the shaft + the applied load.

DEFLECTION DUE TO LOAD
FOR HOLLOW STAINLESS STEEL SHAFTING ONLY

FIXED AT ONE END, LOAD AT OTHER
SHAFT OUTSIDE DIAMETER (in inches)
Wall Thk: SHAFT INSIDE DIAMETER (in inches)
LOAD (in pounds)
SHAFT EXTENDED LENGTH (in inches)
MAXIMUM DEFLECTION, AT END (in inches)

DEFLECTION DUE TO WEIGHT OF SHAFT
FOR HOLLOW STAINLESS STEEL SHAFTING ONLY

FIXED AT ONE END, EVEN LOAD
SHAFT OUTSIDE DIAMETER (in inches)
SHAFT INSIDE DIAMETER (in inches)
SHAFT WEIGHT (in pounds)
EXTENDED LENGTH (in inches)
MAXIMUM DEFLECTION, AT END (in inches)

TOTAL DEFLECTION (HOLLOW SHAFT ONLY)
(LOAD DEFLECTION + WEIGHT OF SHAFT DEFLECTION)
SHAFT TOTAL DEFLECTION, AT END (in inches)
